Starting Kindergarten
Starting Kindergarten is an exciting milestone for children and families.
What We Offer
We offer a range of opportunities to connect with families prior to beginning Kindergarten. During Term 2 and 3, our school offers playgroup opportunities for students in the local area. Please see our Facebook page for more information/dates. We also offer information sessions for prospective families during Term 2.
Kindergarten orientation occurs during Term 4 for students who have enrolled to attend our school the following year. School staff also visit some of our local pre-schools to get to know the students prior to orientation.
If you have any concerns regarding your child's transition to Kindergarten, please reach out to the school.
Parent/Carer Information Sessions
We invite parents and carers to attend our informative sessions during Term 2, which are designed to support a smooth transition to Kindergarten. These sessions provide valuable insights, resources, and opportunities to ask questions, helping families feel confident and prepared for the exciting journey ahead. These dates are advertised on our Facebook page.
Playgroups
Our school warmly welcomes families to join our playgroup sessions, designed to support early learning and social development for young children in our local community. These sessions provide a fun and nurturing environment where children can explore, play, and connect with others while parents and caregivers build supportive networks. Please see our Facebook page for dates during Term 2 and 3.
Kindergarten Orientation
Kindergarten orientation is designed to help children and their families become familiar with the school environment, routines and staff, ensuring a smooth and confident transition into school life. It provides an opportunity for children to build early connections and for parents/carers to ask questions and feel supported as their child begins their educational journey. Please note that for students to attend orientation, they must be enrolled to attend our school for the following year.
